Hantu Kak Limah Balik Rumah is some sort of a sequel to the director, Mamat Khalid’s previous comedy movie, Zombi Kampung Pisang (the Zombies of Banana Village). The movie used the same setting albeit with a slightly different cast of characters not shown in the movie before.
Presentation wise, the movie is a joy to watch. The actors and actresses really pinned themselves to their roles and the way the jokes were done in the movie are terrific. The horror element in the movie were also nicely done despite the comedic nature of the movie.
Story wise, the movie is filled with funny takes on the administrations, the people and the Malay culture itself. This is something that had rarely been done since the era of P. Ramlee’s movies and it felt refreshing to see something like this appeared on movie screens once more.
Overall, I find the movie hilarious and would recommend it to everyone.
